Recommend a TM Service?

I would recommend Glen Shelton and Lead Heroes.

Not because I've used his service, but because I'm kind of in the lead gen business myself (I do not sell to the public) and Glen is one of the few rational, intelligent, and overall very cool guys I've met in an industry (lead gen) that is full of greedy liars.

As with any lead service it's up to the buyer to also be rational in trying a reasonable volume of leads over a period of time to accurately gauge their true effectiveness.

You gotta pay to play.;)

I appreciate the recommendation Russell!

I don't know about intelligent but I will definitely agree with you on the "cool guy" :D

You get what you pay for as Bevo said. Lead Hero's will get you the leads. But to be honest the quality is atrocious. They use Filipinos and many speak terrible terrible english. The real problem i saw is the TM's talked over the people and in many instances forced the lead. Some of the Tm's had forgot wether they were calling for Fe or Med sup.For good Tm leads you need people who speak good english and the conversation is 2-3 min's not the 60 second Lead Hero script .They cost anywhere from $15-$20 depending if you order in bulk. I ordered 100 leads over a few months so my sample size was big. Try them but thats my opinion.

Its not perfect (I would argue all marketing methods have its shortcomings) - accents will vary per individual although I make sure I can have a conversation with them prior to hiring.

If you order 100 or more leads, selling them over the phone, at an absolute minimum you should be closing is in the 5% - 10% range. That's the feedback I get back from agents/agencies working the standard Medicare supplement leads.

On the low end of 5%, it might not sound pretty but you just doubled your money on FYC (about $300 per app x 5 apps = $1500). Life time value of a Med Supp client is in the ballpark of $1500-$2000 so your ROI is insane after a few years.

The agents who have a really strong follow-up system (Calling every single lead 5 to 10 times, using a CRM to track follow-up calls, sending mail, etc.) are consistently closing closer to 10% or more.

I have a few agents/agencies that I have tracked this with for a combined of 10,000+ leads over the past few years so I have a good idea of realistic results.

As of late over seas telemarketing companies in Malaysia and the Philippines have become popular. These are commonly known as avatar leads bc the individuals actually use a computer to speak to the prospect and it sounds like a live human passing the call off to you the licensed agent. I don't use this method so unfortunately I can't give you a specific referral but this might give you more info to aid in your search.
I believe there is a gentleman on here by the name of Glenn Shelton who would be able to assist you further.
Do a search for him on here.
I think his organization is called Lead Heroes but I could be wrong.

You are correct :)

Just one thing to note from your post - I only use live telemarketers, no robots, recordings or avatars.

I started doing this before the FTC said anything about the legality of avatar leads because I believe using a live telemarketer generates a better lead.

Chris Westfall from Medicare Agent Training has a great TM program that he teaches you set up through his training website. Never met anyone like Chris, he is unbelieveably helpful and a great resource. I would highly recommend him.

Does the term TM Leads refer to the way the leads are obtained, the way they are to be used, or both?

TM = Telemarketing (How the lead was generated)

Most Medicare agents/agencies I work with seem to be selling over the phone/internet.

There are still some who set appoints and sell face-to-face.

Also, some who will just go and door knock leads without touching a phone.

I was thinking about leads obtained by mail and a person selling by phone.

It seems like there could be immediate loss of leads there, so that leads obtained by phone would be better if one decided to sell by phone.
