Aetna in particular has an amazingly low rate on RX for in pharmacy pick up for WalMart Pharmacy.
I am working with a client who is losing group, age 66, going to get Medicare B, sign up for MedSupp + RX.
It's surprising that for these prescriptions, the Aetna Medicare RX Saver is almost half on 90 day cost for pick up at WalMart than some other plans. Much lower cost than mail order, much lower cost than even the Humana WalMart plan.
Even the other preferred pharmacy has remarkably higher cost.
I don't get how WalMart's deal with Aetna would beat their deal with Humana for the branded WalMart plan.
I will run this on Humana's site and run again on Aetna. I am using this as a post open enrollment check for how to help clients compare plans.
