United American

They keep calling and bombarding my email trying to get me appointed. I'm sure it will only keep going the closer to AEP we get, though they say they just do med supp.

Any experience with the carrier out there? They talk a big game about their exclusive leads program that is little or no cost. What peeves me is that they will pass the state appointment fee on to me...

Thanks.

The only product worth selling is Hi F. If you can make a living selling Hi F, go for it.

BTW, they pair it with an annuity at $0 commission.

Suh-weet.

I get the same thing.

I talked to a guy that is a MGA with them. Said the same thing about state appointment.

Won't seem to e-mail anything about the leads. Just contract. No release.

He says he door knocks the leads like an hour away from him.

After 20+ years with the company he still has to door knock the leads.

Maybe that is their "system" ?

They are competitive in some areas just like most Med Supp Companies.
The Reserve Fund Annuity is available with ProCare
Medicare Supplement Plans A, B, D, G, HDF, K, and L.
I would not call it a "pairing" as it is optional and you can start with the minimum of $50 and put in more as you like subject to a lifetime maximum.
The agent as you said is not paid on this or 0% commission. If an agent sells the HDF then they can or should cross sell some other products to make up on commissions.

You can do everything over the phone without leaving your home or office.
Clean apps issue in 24-48 hours.
So whatever suits you best that's what you do.
Yes whatever state you are appointed with you have to pay the fee if there is one.
Really can't say anything bad about them. You can have a "lead contract" or a "no lead contract". That I will not discuss further as each MGA do their thing.

There was a time when UA was "the" company.. Not always the lowest premium but competitive.. great commission.. good agent support...Allowed GAs to submit nets.. Then came Torchmark.. BYE, BYE to all that was good about them.

I gather you sell a lot of this crap.

Not following this.

Why would someone sell an annuity for 0% commission ?

This MGA seemed to like the door knocking was the best thing for the leads. Never mentioned cross selling as the reason why.

I have no interest in door knocking, even without the 24 hour rule in CA.

He never mentioned 2 different contracts.

I think he gives out 14% and I think I checked with an FMO who said 18%.

The FMO said they had the same lead program.

I am not very impressed with MGA who was a former manager on the captive side, if that is how they used to work.

I contracted with UA thru Senior Market Specialists because they will release upon request. I am planning on using them for cancer plans since there are so few carriers in CA.

However, I wrote 3 people the HDF plan because that's what they wanted. Not much commission but better than a poke in the eye. I also have an app for an U65, a disabled son of a client, because they had the best price (don't know about commission but it was the right thing to do).

The lead program is a T65 mailing. I haven't seen the piece but since their flagship product is HDF, I'm sure I won't really want to bother.

It is called a reserve fund annuity as it is used to pay deductibles up to the $2140.00 for the HDF plans. Its really to facilitate the customer. They pay commissions on the other annuities that are available.

I agree with you here, but he might be behind the times.

The T65 list is available to the world at large and is a list not "leads" you get the list for a geographical area and then try to generate leads from them.
The "lead contract" is one which gives production credit to purchase leads as oppose to the "no lead contract" which gives a higher comp.

Oh ok. I think he was confusing me. He was probably talking about door knocking off the list. He made it sound like they were "leads".

I assume this list is provided by UA.

I then wonder how updated it is. Since you will be driving around I would assume it up to date.

He said there was nothing in writing. He gets the credit and passes it along or something like that.

So the leads and credit are all outlined in a "lead contract" ?

I assume you must use their lead system ?
