There is a one man band in my Metro calls himself "Wealth Management Associates" and offers "VA Improved Pensions"

I have read the brochure--its all pablum about how wonderful Vets are.

"There is NO COST associated with these VA filing services (except if CPA/attorney needed)

So this guy does "Improved Pensions" and does it for free?

He does seminars are retirement communities all over the metro

SOUNDS like a scam--and searched for it and lots of people say its a scam-with no evidence.

I emailed a VA caseworker that has helped me in the past so see what he says

ANYONE have any experience with this? Scam? Or real service?

Just a wag, but possibly pension max. Life agents use the pension max pitch to replace SGLI/VGLI with permanent life insurance.

Pension maximization can be risky, like if the policy lapses. I understand the spouse has to permanently waive their rights to the pension, and rely on the life contract benefits only. What could go wrong?.

AHA someone that knows SOMETHING about this. The brochure said nothing

So what firms offer this? Where can I go to read up on this?

"Improved Pensions" search doesnt tell me anything

Axe, you may be more current than I am, but haven't a lot of carriers removed themselves from that market? I seem to recall carriers putting all kinds of caveats on their proposals and then just abandoning that market completely.
