What is the most effective way to track commissions & renewals for an agent/small agency? Thanks in advance.

I think a lot use CRMs and there is a thread or two regarding this. One agent posted his spreadsheet but I can't seem to find it.

a Bic and yellow legal pad..

That is simple & easy. However, long term, will not give me a good way to look at numbers in a detailed way from a month, quarter, year over year point of view.

I use AgencyIQ & it does not have a commission tracking system. I have considered switching CRM's but most of the good ones I have looked at do not have commission tracking either.

I try to keep my book under 50 clients so I can track them in my head...

Don't you just keep each client on a 3x5 card? And only have 3 cards?
