What Happens to AOR with Secure Horizons' Plan Migrations? What Happens to AOR with Secure Horizons' Plan Migrations?         Go to Top

CMS is requiring the MA companies to offer Less plan options and lump all of their members into a FEW options to create less confusion among the seniors. When SH migrates a member into another Plan, does the original Agent of Record retain the Renewal commissions?
I'm not sure if SH automatically migrates the mb into another comparable Plan or if the mb is required to sign up for the new Plan. Anyone have any experience with this? This happens especially in southern California where there have always been many Plan options benefits within the companies.

I work with SH, we are now taking people from evercare and putting them on the mapd 2. The agent who writes the new plan is the agent of record.

Here is a link to UHC's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on their SARs.

The first question on the FAQ should answer your question. The original AOR will stay the AOR if the member is enrolled through Telesales. If the member enrolls through another agent, the new agent is the AOR.

Hope this helps.
