Is It Worth the Effort to Market Med Supps in Hawaii with a 49% MA Penetration Rate.

Look at it this way.. if 49% have MAs, then 51% don't..A good portion of them are med supp customers.
True, but a good portion could have retiree coverage, VA coverage or just don't give a rats a$$. Slim pickens in my opinion, especially when cold calling.
 
Your forgetting employer coverage and Medicaid.

That is the reason I said a "good portion" and not all. I could not place an actual percentage on how many would be med supp prospects because I ahve no idea how many have employer coverage or medicaid.
 
Dear OP,

I sell Med Supp over the phone in 24 different states, so can be done from anywhere to anywere. The guy who trained me lived in Florida. He sold very few Med Supp plans in Florida.

I used to live in Hawaii. Left there in 2009 a few months after I got my license. I talked to a local guy there before I moved that was selling individual under age 65 health plans. His main market was California, so this type of thing can be done.
