Sharing Stories of Hardship to Build TrustGo to Top
So, a few times on here I've alluded to the story I tell many of my clients about my dad's fight with cancer. That story has sealed a few deals - it's a true story that drives the need for comprehensive coverage home.
Too bad I don't sell P&C, because this one would have been a doozy:

That was a bad storm that came through GA.
Insurance is nice to have, and if you don't have it, then your screwed.
I'm lucky that I don't have any big trees around my home.

We had the ice storm of the century here in Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky this winter. I was without power 5 days and some places were out more than 2 weeks. I lost two trees from my yard across my drive way. One was a 30 inch 40 foot tall maple and the other was a 12" scotch pine. I found out that my insurance policy (Pekin) pays up to $1,000 per tree for storm debris removal with no deductible. Neat! That story would probably sell some policies. They sent me a check without doing anything but me talking to the adjuster on the phone and faxing a copy of the bill.
