Simplified Issue - SOS - Today Pls.             Go to Top

I have a client that doesn't want to deal with para-med however
They are interested in 100, 150, 200k quotes for 30 year guaranteed.

I've known this person most my life and I know she is generally
Healthy - that is why I am giving her quotes for the above including
Rates from Western Reserve with the para med.

She is: 5'5" 135 lbs
zip: 78605
dob: 07-05-64
smoker: Y

* The main reason I believe she doesn't want the para-med is the possibility of THC. But if that is true, I'm sure the MIB already have this on file since she is 45 years old.

* Can I please get some suggestions for Simple Issue ?

I want to do right by her by allowing her to see a few options for both simple issue and para-med.Thanks

If she's a "smoker", she will have to answer that question on a simplified-issue policy anyway. Better to be up front and pre-screen with the companies instead of putting in an app and hoping they don't notice.

Well that is exactly what I am attempting to do, but you didn't offer any direction or options as I had requested.

In other words, I already knew what you offered or I wouldn't have asked the question. So what really is the point of your post ?

Which State?

I am doing the same currently with a nephew that balked at the exam of our first app. After a heart to heart found out about the herb. Call me paranoid, but, I do not want the MJ answer in the MIB or some Ins Companies file. Big Brother.

Check with Foresters. They will do non med to $200,000 and they don't care about the pot. You can even disclose it on the app.

Is she opposed to taking the exam itself, or just doesn't want to disclose the info? Depending on the level of usage, there are some companies that may give her a standard or Table 2 rate (Lincoln Benefit comes to mind) if she is up-front about it on the application and there is a good cover letter. That will be cheaper than a non-med company and have a much better conversion option....likely a much better financial rating as well.

That wording, depending on how it is read, could be taken either as "excessively used any drugs of abuse" or more simply "used any drugs of abuse OR excessively used alcohol". That one could come back to bite her if she answers "No"

Assurity and Fidelity will go up to those dollar amounts. RBC also has instant approvals up to those dollar amounts but the price is higher.

The pot smoking would be an issue with those companies.

It wouldn't have been in the MIB unless it had been admitted on an App.

You may want to check out EMC National Life for these situations. The have a product Instant Issue Term that is totally electronic with no phone interview or exams. Approve or denies on the spot and can print policy for client before they leave your office. It also has renewals. Let me know if you want more information.
