It seems like the Google custom search just goes to Google instead of searching only on the forum.

You are using the wrong seach option. Don't use the google search box.

Right about the ad banner it says. User cp, Forum jump, forum rules, new posts, search, quick links , tags, log out

This is the seach option that you want.

Soon, the Google search bar on top will be integrated inside the forum and should have the option to search the forum too.

How do (or can) you search for a string. For example I want to find posts about an IMO called "Senior Market Sales" but the lame search engine of vBulletin seems to only search individual words... senior, market, sales...even if you put the string in quotes.

Is there a string search function?

which is why google search is the best and why google search should be integrated to this forum. but vbulettin search is providing to search based on threads. so i think both of them should be used and integrated in forum.
