Loved the part in the link where it said that if the debt limit was not raised the U.S would start defaulting in mid-October. Hmmmm. Wouldnt that be like five weeks away? Talk about being sleepless in Beijing.

Quote from the same second article, that's why we're screwed. In my opinion, this U.S. philosophy really took off in my grandparent's era from around the 1930's on and has never quit. That generation did alot to build the infastructure of this country, but they did most of it with borrowed money and we've never really gotten out from under it since that time.
