I go to Starbucks just about every day for a doubleshot on ice, but had a free drink today so I mixed it up a bit with a light espresso frappucino (coffee frap + a shot of espresso). This may be the best drink they have, and only 190 calories/1g fat for a venti. Discuss.

I just bought one of those Keurig machines from Costco. Love it. Starbucks now is only for the "seasonal offerings" - pumpkpin whatever and peppermint whatever.

I'm going to try your alternative, though....sounds good!

I thought about buying my own espresso machine, but it's just not the same...I saw all the new holiday drinks today and the peppermint ones sound so delicious, but not very diet friendly.

I love my Triple Venti Not Too Hot Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha. Unfortunately, it's 660 calories and I don't love shopping for new pants.

I believe that the way forward to happiness is to start roasting your own beans. Seriously. Skip all those yuppie drinks and flavors but keep trying to get a good basic cup. That is the way to go.

If you havent had fresh roasted and then fresh ground, believe me, it is not just a yuppie gimmick like all this shade-grown hype. We are talking love here.
