Hello everyone,
I have a health client who gets their life through state farm in a big wrap around packaged deal, i guess state farm gives a discount on life, auto, or home for having life with them??
Who do they go through, and is it competitive. Im thinking I can find her a better life quote, and save her money, what do you guys think?

She said the reason she had the life through state farm was because it was at a discount....so I assume price is a main motivator. But again, instead of this Seinfieldian back in forth, I want to know how competitive the term products are for state farm and which company they go through. Do you have that answer in all your glorious a$$holiness paul? lol...

Assuming is a dangerous time-waster. You really ought to find out.
So you don't have the other critical info?

As a matter of fact, I do.
Not only are a couple of my best friends SF agents, I worked as a wholesaler on the State Farm account, so I have intimate knowledge of their life insurance products.
I worked for a State Farm agent for a few years so I have a little insight into their products also. Currently, SF does not give discounted rates on their life insurance products no matter how many other lines you have with them. They may have done that years ago, but no longer. She may be getting a very small discount on her auto insurance if her life policy is over 100K. The discount is only about a 2% discount on her auto policy only, you don't get a discount on HO for having a life policy with them. SF's multi line discounts are best for having multiple autos and a HO policy. As far as what companies they use, its all SF, except for term over 500k with ROP, these are usually placed with Phoenix, as SF does not offer ROP and Phoenix has better rates for term over 500k.
SF is a great company, I still have my WL with them, but their rates can be easily beat on both term and permanent products.

The Farm's partnership with Phoenix ended some months back...
Just spoke to a 62 yo M yesterday. 100K 10yr T with SF was almost double that of the leading companies. They are simply not competitive with their life rates; no way no how.
Also just replaced another SF product that was up for renewal / rewrite; same situation. The prem comparison was like 868 to 500. You should have no problem competing on price, but price is not always their first concern. If the clients rejects your proposal it will be due to matters other than price.
