This story got me laughing.
Florida has set up a 25 megawatt generating system using solar panels. The system cost $150 million dollars and occupies 180 acres of land about an hour out of Tampa.
The Associated Press: Largest solar panel plant in US rises in Fla.
So, $150 million and 180 acres to do the same thing as this:

So you eat up 180 acres and $150 million dollars to generate the same power as a jet engine generator that fits in the trailer of an 18 wheeler. I'm guessing that doesn't cost $150 million dollars.
And, what do you do when the sun goes down?
And I just can't wait until the first hurrican blows through. Do you thinks those solar panels will fly?
And Obama thinks green energy will save the economy. The guy is certifiable.
