Some carriers will require 10 yrs from remission for internal C... Also will depend on parents age @ death, if deceased, and cause of death, if C....
Genworth's u/w looked ok, as in indiv consideration, although you are still looking at a hefty table rating, IMO. So 300K, on 61 yo @ a table F or greater... Wow, off the charts. (just a guess on the tabe rating). Just for a sample, for a F, N/S Tbl H, 10 yr term, between 2700-3500 yr. Male is 4300-5500. So as mentioned, it is a salty prem.
I have lost a few impaired risk cases to Lincoln Benefit Life, (a subsidiary of Allstate), with serious health issues. Their ratings were considerably less than most of the "big boys". May be a niche market here.
Suggest you contact BDS Agency as I think they offer brokerage of the Lincoln Ben Life products. Their impaired risk u/w should be able to help you sort this out. Here is their website:
BTW, the submission of this type of life case to Assurity may not have helped the cause any. You want to pre u/w these cases and avoid the auto-decline, when possible... and with these circumstances, it was a given for decline. Just for future knowledge.

I agree. LBL is a good choice but with all impaired risk or senior clients you should send in an informal and let your broker shop it with everyone.

There are two companies that I can think of, as long as client has been cancer free fo two years. He can get upto 250,000. If you have not written him yet PM me and I will give you the companies.

Typically within 5 years it is a decline regardless of the staging with the majority of carriers.
With relatively low staging, let's say stage 1, could be Table D/4 range after 5 years. But it will be dependent upon type of lymphoma. Non-hodgkins you have a slightly better shot of obtaining coverage.
I agree with some of the other agents: definitely obtain the staging, type, treatment schedule, and medications and shop this one out. Another decline will make it increasingly difficult to find something.

Fidelity Life or Presidential have a graded death benefit. No medical exam they will take anyone as long as your client pays the price! They can only get 50,000 max coverage!

Several companies offer a non-medical simplified WL or UL for small amounts. But with Lymphoma, it may be his best best to take out a couple of those until he is standard.
RNA
GPM Life
Fidelity
Transamerica
American National
All offer this product. All would offer graded with cancer in past 2 years. If not currently under treatment, could even qualify for WL at GPM.
