Yeah that's a crappy contract right there, isn't it?

If anyone out there reading this post has a quality BCBSFL independent agent contract, please IM me....I seriously have a few friends in addition to myself who want a BCBSFL contract, without this utter bs.

BTW, did anyone else realize it's about $180 to contract with BCBSFL?

Just note that this agency that advances FL BX 12 months at 18% does not pay until 2 months after the policy is approved.

Which is usually about two months after it's submitted, so you get paid four months after submit. Nice.

Since BCBSFL is probably the easiest carrier to compete against, why would anybody want to?

Dunno but I'm a big fan of agents being at least able to sell all carriers available in their state. From what I understand from FL members Humana has some network issues depending on the zip and that really only leaves GR.

Well said Joeboy. That "brand name" angle is negated when BCBS underwriting gets a hold of your apps!!! If you are able to write 5 a week you will be lucky to get 2 or 3 through with no declines or big rateups. Also, the GA's are f'kin theives. One GA with a large operation in NE Florida will start newbies off at 8% and he even uses UNLICENSED peolpe to wrtite. Pays them a $300 salary and $25 app bonus while giving them all the good leads while screwing the commissoned agents. Last time I checked that was a financial felony. Hard enough to get BCBS apps through without having to put up with the GA's bullshit and illegal activities.
