Soar...Do you (or anybody out there) use one of Quotit's web sites for $579?

To view an example...click on the link or your spleen will be sold on EBAY by an unscrupulous MegaLife agent...

Quotit is better, if they have the carriers you want to use.

Re: Norvax - Quoting             Go to Top

I used norvax a while, real pricey and I got zero out of it, but part of my problem was not driving enough folks to my website. They do little to drive people there, you gotta do that part. The quoting engine worked fairly well, but one of my friends told me { he is not into insurance but in internet sales of books and self help stuff } that he thinks folks would really rather go there to kick tires and look around, then when it comes time to actually sign up, folks need personal interaction with the agent. Just his opinion. My opinion is that it did a great job of getting all my health companies there on one page for a price comparison, but not so great on getting people sold.

That is your job.

Unless you have an unlimited budget, then you can compete with eHealth.

A website & quote engine will not make you wealthy. Like the telephone, they are tools.

Just plugging a telephone into the wall will not put money in your pocket. You have to pick it up & use it to make it a worthwhile investment.

Re: Norvax - Quoting             Go to Top

The problem with Norvax, they dont explain the way it should be used properly, and most Agents wouldnt understand the technology available. Quote engines are one thing, Not that big of Deal, and your website, you drive the individuals their.(Do you encourage them to visit your virtual office? http:// Miller Insurance Agency The best thing about Norvax, Broker Office, if you really understand marketing. I have a quote engine, but thats not the Motor of the System. You want a quality website for individuals to see your professional image and valuable research information. People go on and on about Quotit, Quotit is just that a quoting tool, Most people will not use, and Most agents overwhelm clients with quotes, So if 5 Agents are sending them quotes, what separates you from them? Thats the Magic, Dont waste your Money on a Quote engine, Thats only a small portion of Marketing your Internet Leads. Last comment, If Quotit was so great and up to speed, Dont you think E-Health would use them? Guess what system is behind E-Health, Thats right NORVAX

Dmiller90;

I really like your site... clean, easy to navigate... does Norvax have all of the top companies available for quote, and can you set the quote engine to generate standard as well as preferred rates?

Thanks I appreciate the compliment, Yes the have all the Major Carriers, they are the engine for E-health, but once again, its not the quote engine that is the marketing machine, its Broker Office and the tools and Autoresponders that make it all tie together, Just having a quote engine is like everyone else, BORING

Re: Norvax - Quoting             Go to Top

I have nothing but good things to say about Norvax, and I highly endorse their services. To me for the $100+ they charge for a quoting engine is a steal. Just the ability to have side by side comparison will save you a lot of time and have a large ROI, from a productivity stand point.

I agree sending emails and quotes is necessary but it is the equivalent of sending smoke signals. This is the same with Quotit or anyone else. Unassisted apps is a pipe dream unless you are Ehealth spending millions of other investors money.

Norvax as a company has always treated me and everyone I know great. They are very responsive to my suggestions and in return I have given some great testimonials free of charge. Quotit I found wasn't that special outside of California, and some of the issues I brought up to them 5 years ago still haven't been addressed to this day, I guess they need more time.

Try a demo of both, and see which is best for you. I have plenty of contacts at Norvax if anyone needs them PM me. Remember any quoting service or website is to COMPLIMENT your EXISTING efforts trust me it takes money to make money and these are enhancement tools not market drivers, this is important to understand.

Good luck either way, this is an exiting business and it is nice we even have such tools as an option.

I think that's a great post TX. A good quoting tool was like when word processors came out and I was in college. It was a great tool for writing reports and obviously made it a lot easier. But they didn't write the reports for you.

I use quoting tools with almost every deal I close - however, some new agents under are the mis-impression that if they get engines like Norvax or Quotit all that's left to do is drive traffic to your site and people will sign up.

With a fantastic quote engine and lacking sales skills you just wasted $100 a month.

How much is Norvax charging for their quote engine?

I've been using Quotit, just curious on the pricing...

Re: Norvax - Quoting             Go to Top

I am not 100% sure, I think there are some variables such as how many states you need, and some other custom features such as auto responders, etc.,

I would guess the "basic" quoting engine single state to be around $100/mo give or take.

Remember Quotit does not have all of the carriers - I believe they don't have Time / Assurant for those of you who use them. Last I checked with Quotit there were two major problems that have not been fixed in over 5 years:

1. They use AGE instead of DATE OF BIRTH on harvest form. This is a huge issue if you "drip market" as a 33 year old will always be 33 forever. Date of birth is critical it is a huge mistake to use AGE - and if there is an age change before or near effective date - the quote is wrong. I am not sure why they chose this over date of birth.

2. The standard quoting engine asks ..."Show only plans with maternity..." This was a huge problem as in most states, including my home state of Texas there really isn't any maternity on IFP. (Humana which is soon to be gone, and United which pays a whopping $2500). What would happen is anyone under 35 that clicks that button would get a message such as ..."No plans available in your area..." and when we called the lead (if they answered their phone) we would hear "You didn't have any plans..." I asked them to fix this and the issue above during the 2 years or so I had an account, and like all other suggestions I gave them - nothing was ever done.

Quotit has always had great presentation and display of plans, this I will give them credit. Norvax has come a long way on display of plans as well - but I will give credit where it is due. Also Quotit was NEVER slow and NEVER down - Norvax has had issues in the past however as of lately I must say they are extremely reliable.

If you buy leads from them the leads also show up automatically which is a nice feature, and they have a basic contact management system if you don't use ACT or SalesForce, etc., etc.,

One nice feature I like about Norvax is you can set different carriers and plans within those carriers to display. Some of you might not sell Right Start, but you might sell Max Plan - or whatever you do it is nice to set detailed filters.

You can also set different plans to show "on the front end" then the "back end". My agents view just about every plan and feature, but my website visitors see a much more scaled back view (popular plans). This is all your choice, I am of the opinion you show someone 200 plans and they buy nothing.

Worth checking out anyhow - they have been good to me for many years.

Re: Norvax - Quoting             Go to Top

Both are around $80 (if you are willing to negotiate) for just the quote engine. That is for one state. If you work in multiple states the price goes up. If you want autoresponders the price goes up.

Both have back office capability including the ability to import leads directly from many sources, configure autoresponders, sort & export data and so forth.

And no, Quotit does not have an agreement with Time.

So what?

I have used Quotit for about a year. If someone really wants (needs) a Time quote I can send it to them. Time doesn't have anything to offer in my state so they are a third tier carrier along with Blue.

Quotit uses age or DOB.

With both you can configure the plans to illustrate. With or without maternity, with or without dental. Show Saver, Right Start, etc or don't.

You pick.

No, Quotit does not have a toggle to just show plans with maternity. What they do have is a way for the prospect to contact me on every proposal.

If I wanted lemmings for clients I would change my business model. Fortunately, most of my clients are looking for advice and direction.

They wont get that from Norvax or Quotit alone.

I have used both. Just for customer service alone, Quotit is my preference.

Quotit question,

Does quotit have a BrokerOffice like CRM component? If not can I hook them up to IRelay or some other online CRM software and have a similar situation?

I don't like the fact that Norvax sells the leads that I generate in states that I'm not licensed in yet.

Quotit questions part 2,

I keep seeing posts that say Quotit doesn't have assurant, yet when I go to their website it lists Assurant under the individual health section. What's up with that? Do they have them or not?
