Title Company/Homeowners Insurance

Hi. I will be taking the exam for my P&C license by the end of the year. Are Title companies/Mortgage companies good places to work as opposed to an insurance company?

Probably too late by the time it gets to the Title Co, Mortgage loan officers and Realtors(r) are probably good to work since they put the deal together. There are RESPA implications if you offer anything of value for the referral.

I think you are asking about whether to work at a title company or to work for an agency? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I was in Real Estate for a while.. Half the title company employees I know were laid off. It would be very difficult to enter that market as there is a huge talent pool of experienced people. Find an agency to work for selling Auto & Home etc. you'll be much better off.

Actually I was interested in working at a title company but was wondering if it would be best to try there first or if an agency would be the best place to begin and then move on to a title company.

That would not bea bad idea if you've already made up your mind. The competition is stiff there. Plan it out.
