Colonial will write a 40 year old with Critical Illness including cancer up to their max of $50,000 lump sum upon diagnosis for $1.28/M per month. Thus, prem is $64.
They also have a cancer-only policy that pays a fairly wide array of medical benefits (for procedures or incurred expenses... not a lump sum) for about $48 a month as I remember.
UA has higher benefit limits.... and may be fine. But I know from experience that Colonial pays their claims fairly and quickly. I write for Colonial, I don't write for UA so obviously my experience is limited.
MOO has a critical illness plan with higher max limits. Check out their site.
