UHC Maternity...             Go to Top

OK, I have always recommended against buying maternity coverage and no one ever has enough to afford it here in TX, but I have a client I'm meeting with tonight that wants it and they are being reimbursed for their medical coverage (given a raise that they can choose to use for medical if they want), so they don't mind spending the money.

Of course, UHC is the best option here. My understanding is UHC has a sliding scale based on how long they've had the rider. They will pay 80 percent up to that maximum. The client will also receive a repricing on maternity services received.

Anything I'm missing here? Do they have to meet the policy deductible? Any waiting periods?

Thanks!

Can't say how it works in Texass, but here it is a good deal.

$106/mo for a $4,000 benefit. Full benefits paid after 12 months, half benefits paid if conception is in the first 12 months. One of the few carriers that allows maternity to be added on after issue (as long as you are not prego at the time).

Your bill is in the mail . . .
