My wife worked for allstate and state farm. Two well-known companies. I was hoping having the BBB listing would help with the credibility to consumers of our upstart insurance agency.
If you don't move on this tommorrow; I'm sending over the Skip and Pauly Wallnuts.

If you think it will help you join them. I have been in business for 16 years and every year I have had to get rid of their pesky and sometimes obnoxious sales calls. They are fairly high pressure. They have had some people selling for them locally that I know and they would not sell for me.

In all my years of being in business no one has asked if I belong to the BBB. If the general public knew that any company can pay a fee and join BBB how impressed would they be with membership. Actually I think the reviews on Yahoo, Google, or Angie's list are a better place to find out about a company. The National Ethics Bureau may be a better organization to belong to simply because they offer cheap E&O.
