What do you think?...
I usually get at least one call a month from someone who is 7 months pregnant and looking for coverage for the delivery.
And there are the folks who used to have hypertension but don't any more since they went on medication. And folks get pissed when the carrier denies their claim or rescinds coverage for putting false information on the app.
You just gotta wonder why we let these kind of folks procreate. At least Darwin candidates are no longer around to contribute to the gene pool.

One policy I had rescinded over 2 year ago was a guy who said he was perfectly healthy - in fact he did the "Tele-app" which meant he did his app over the phone directly with the insurance company. Zero conditions. About a week after his coverage began he goes in for major back surgery. Policy yanked, of course. The last conversation we had was he was gonna sue the insurance company because since he didn't have the surgery before the time of the application it wasn't technically pre-existing. I said "good luck with that." Never heard from him again.
And yes, I'm good for at least two "I'm pregnant" calls per month. As least in MD here's where uncovered pregnant women can go:
Gotta love those calls! I always get a kick out of the person who say's he/she can't afford health insurance. (Even though they can but don't want to)
I always then respond by saying, "Well if you'd like I can give you the number to the state medicade program for low income families who are struggling to get by. I believe it may help you and you're family out if you don't make much money."
