Encompass is the brainchild of Allstate, but you have to have both HO & Auto together. Allstate agents hate it, and their lying if they tell you otherwise. State Farm, are you kidding? A company that is constantly in court defending it's "claims" practices. I've heard from several folks who have had to sue them just to get paid on a fire claim. Travelers, the quiet company but they seem to do well by me. I never hear much complaining about Met. Through Amerisave you can get Amex, with some kick butt rates. Mom had Hartford, thru
AARP, till she got a quote from Nationwide. My uncle who was thru Geico, got a sweet deal from Nationwide. Geico has the best ad's, but not rates. I look for the quiet guys, Allied and such, they seem to just be there and be consistent. Farmers, can have good rates. But if you get in a wreck, you might wait two years for your medical bills if and when to get paid.
Thats just a little of my take from my experiences selling auto for nearly 10 years.
