Hey ... i was looking at ohio Natl yesterday and was wondering who has a contract for them ... my wife is going to sell a little from home and they seemed to have good prices and a good financial rating.
Have you written much with them? Do you like them?
Best,

I like ON very, very much. I can't say enough good things about them, their management, and their balance sheet.
You go direct to ON. They do not use the BGA distribution system. If you have had bad service from other carriers who go direct (Midland is my poster child for a direct writer with poor service to agents) let me say without hesitation that ON "gets it" and knows how to answer the phone when you call. AND... you can talk to their UWs... they encourage it!
I try to write with ON when I can because they ALSO give me a slightly better contract than I get with any other carrier that goes though any
GA I've contacted.
ON's term rates are excellent, but they do have a bit more stringent UW than WCL, Banner, ING, and the other "cheap term" carriers out there. They are good with term and WL. I don't sell UL so I can't judge. Also, annuities are not their strong suit either.
You might want to also contact Mutual Trust Life. I don't know much about them, but there are also a direct company, with an emphasis on WL. I got a packet of stuff from them about a year ago but the West coast agent/recruiter never followed up with me on my questions... and seemed not to care one way or the other if I contracted or not.
The above said, if you have a good
GA who gives you a good contract, you might want to check out the WCL tele-app thing. I've not used it... was told by my
GA that it didn't work very well... which I translate to "We get less override if you use it!"
YMMV.
Haribol.
Your ever well wisher,
Al
