Will a bankruptcy hinder your ability to get appointed with carriers? Your thoughts please...

I can't answer that outright I think it might. I imagine it will matter when the BK was, if it's discharged and even maybe if it's a 7 or 13. I know I was honest with all the RSDs before I applied about my low credit score. All of them said "Ok, but you don't have a BK, right?" That leads me to believe that a BK might be an issue.

A BK definitely has an impact . . . particularly if you are looking for annualized commissions. A lot depends on the type (7,11 or 13) and how far back.

Heck, I think a BK affects even getting a license.
