Would you like to win a free $250 gift card to Best Buy or Amazon.com or any store of your choice?

The insurance forum is holding a our first ever contest for all of our members. Anyone with a website or a blog can participate.

If you have a website or a blog, all you need to do is to link to the forum somewhere on your site and then email me at linkingcontest@gmail.com You could link to the homepage, or to an interesting post you have made or wherever you want.

If you have multiple websites, you can link from each and have one entry for each site.

If you do not yet have a website or a blog, this can be a great reason to get started.

Please note that if you are already linking to the forum then you just need to email me where the link is and you will be entered into the contest. This does not need to be a new link.

Additionally please note that this link does not need to be on your homepage.

The contest runs from now until September 30th. (My Birthday) On Thursday October 2nd, a winner will be chosen, and can pick where they would like the $250 gift card to be from. A second winner will also be chosen to win a $50 gift card.

There is no minimum number of entries, so if only two people link, then they will be guaranteed a prize.

Once all the entries are in,we will use ContestMachine: Promotions Made Easy to make the winning picks. This will ensure that the winner is truly random!

The winners will be announced in this thread.

The only problem is that when I tell my wife I got the card (he he), she will find a way to spend $500 rather then the $250 that is there.

It still leads to same site, but it gives more weight on SERP's for different keywords..

Example: The link on Mark's blog Insurance Forums 2008 is placed very well.

Yes, there is a link to the forum on the site. I have a link to them on all my sites.

I just wanted to again take the time to say "Thank you" to Sam for allowing us to use the forum for our own SEO purposes as well.

I would suggest that for those you who don't have a link to your web sites in their signature file on the forum, do so.

And, if you have the ability, link back to this forum.

One quick advice, for which I am sure you know, but maybe forgot to tackle: Have your CSS settings stored in an external file, instead of code !
