ACT! is the #1 selling contact manager used by millions worldwide. Tons of support and upgrades. ACT! synchronizes with Palm / Pocket PC OS's. It does take a little manipulation to make it work for the indy Medi agent. There are tons of third party add ons. You can search by zip code and can find techs support that can come out to your place (though they are not FREE).
We can log phone call notes with each client record. We can do mass mailings of leads, apps, and letters. For suspects whom we have had prior contact, we can track their current plan and target their renewal. We can attach voice recordings (SCOPE) and scan apps (PDF) and attach them to each client file. ACT! also comes with an easy to use backup feature and password protection (HIPPA compliance).
Every detail about my client is right in front of me when they call. Every call, meeting notes, e-mail, second address (snow bird), emergency contact, doctor's name and address, Medicare numbers and dates, and policy history is right there. So I can see exactly where I'm at with my client and take action to keep them a client for life.
Honestly, the best contact manager is the one that is in place. I know way too many agents that lack this "tool" and they have no clue that they are missing commissions and missing sales opportunities.
