Client T65 May, 2016.
His income falls above $107,000 up to $160,000. Per CMS guidelines his Medicare Part B premium should be $243.60 and Part D IRMAA $32.80 +YPP.
He received and paid a bill in May for $487.20 (May & June Part B premium)
Here is the part that doesn’t make sense to us.
The bill this month states current amount due for part B 7/1 – 7/31 $682.20
(I am assuming they mean July, August, September premiums)
$682.20 divided by 3 = $227.40
Current amount due for IRMAA Part D 5/1 – 7/31 $218.70
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas as to why Part B is only $227.40 instead of $243.60 and Part D amount due for 3 months is way above $32.80 per month?
