The LOCKDOWN had a major impact on overall health, utilization and loss ratios.

Those who stayed home increased the risk of passing illness to other family members. Numerous studies showed COVID transmission happened in the home with more prevalence than in public places including restaurants.

During the LOCKDOWN diagnostic testing and treatment declined . . . which led to higher morbidity during and after the LOCKDOWN.

During the LOCKDOWN there were spikes in mental health issues. An increase in abuse, divorce and suicides. Also increases in alcohol and substance abuse.
