I know an employer can't force a sick employee to Medicare but what about unsubsidized ACA coverage?

Got a group of 50-75 inquiring w a sick person costing everyone a few thousand more due to some bad claims.

I would doubt they can deny an employee access to group coverage...as it is often better than ACA options. However, the employee can likely opt out of the employer plan if the employer makes it worth his while, and if there are quality plans to choose from. The employee can only be subsidized if the employers coverage is deemed unaffordable with the formula. Watch the "family glitch" as well.

Just an opinion of course.
