Alternative Job Title Decriptions for Selling Medicare Supplement Policies

Is anyone calling themselves other than an Insurance Agent or Medicare Supplement Insurance Agent?

It seems as soon as you say you are an Insurance Agent many people's body language changes. However when I tell them that I do consultation on how to reduce medical cost for individuals on Medicare they stay engaged with me.

Maybe this isn't a big deal but I would just rather put an alternative job title on my business cards.

Suggestions, Feedback?

Thanks

1. Don't use the word " senior " anywhere in your title. When I was started in this business 22 years ago at age 30 I put " senior market specialist" on my card not realizing that some older people find it condescending when agents use the word "senior" as a euphemism for "old" The mindset of the older insurance consumer is - if this insurance man can't speak to me in plain English about the fact that I am an old person what else is he going to understate or exaggerate in his presentation.

On the flip side of that the baby boomers just now T65 don't see themselves as " old " and certainly not as " senior ".I have been amazed at some of the specimens of persons T65 recently- especially some of the woman.I had an appointment with a lady turning 65 the other day and she was a hot woman.Refer to this type of consumer as a senior and you will lose her at "Hello"

2.You are an insurance agent so don't hide.If you do his can also raise a flag to the consumer as to how much transparency they can expect you to disclose about the products you represent

I use Sales Rep or Sales Agent on my cards.
