Anyone hear of STM called 'Life Shield?'

Lifeshield is very inexpensive and offers the best copay arrangement Ive seen for any doctor in network including specialists, its on the largest PPO network Multi-plan. They offer very customize-able deductible and coinsurance packages. (Expert tip: you can cancel a few of the ancillary services like teledoc and RX helpline to open up budget for more important allocation of monthly premium. I often add an accident or supplemental coverage to cover OOP.)

You have to be careful with the Multiplan PHCS there are many PHCS/ multiplan networks and just because the provider takes it don't be so sure it takes the one your a part of. You need to look up the provider

Caveats are no pre-x covered, and determining whether a doctor is in network has proven challenging to some clients. ALSO some dirty companies will sell you their indemnity plan and pass it off as STM, WHICH IT IS NOT. So IMO, Lifeshield gets a bad rap because of these less than professional call centers.
I believe Lifeshield Plan 1 is an indemnity their plan 2 is a short term

STM will be a large focus for me this coming year.
How do you generate your leads.....thanks

There are some REAL shady call centers pushing it. They call me every day. I let them make their pitch sometimes for shits and giggles.

They start out with a recording that there is currently a very a very limited time special enrollment period for Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna and United Healthcare. Press one to see what rates you qualify for now.

Amazingly I always qualify perfectly for Life Shield which is pitched as a major medical plan that has an affordable rate that is guaranteed for the rest of my life. I've been told that LifeShield is owned by Anthem Blue Cross but is their lower cost brand with exactly the same coverage as Anthem. (Only dunnies pay for the fancy-pantsy logo apparently). The sales reps always let me in on these insider secrets to save me money. That makes me feel loved.

They are always so full of BS that you know consumers have to get mislead every day.

Might be a legit product. But if I was the president of LifeShield I would have a follow up team interviewing new policy holders to see what they think they bought. And clean up the bad phone rooms.

With Lifeshield, my clients love the $30 copay to see a doctor or specialist, the $50 wellness visit copay, and the low comparative price. If copays and price are the sticking points, I offer them Lifeshield STM... and it works quite well.

I then cross sell dental, accident, cancer, etc... You can easily make $2000/yr per family.

How well do those STM plans protect your nest egg in the event of a large claim.

Let's say you are hit by someone driving a stolen car. You are hurt seriously. Thief got away. You have $50,000 or more in medical bills.

Do your clients love their low copay's then?

Gotta love those $2,000 commission checks.

After all. That's the important thing.

Where is Mike Wallace when you need him?

Oh yeah.

He's dead.

You are asking how insurance works or how sales work or just being a troll? Its unclear.

In your situation my clients who also take accident protection would walk away with all bills paid plus money in their pocket.

If they only used the medical policy they would pay their deductible first, before having everything covered. Though the NG policy will also limit total fee to less than deductible in the case of an emergency room bill.

Gotta love those $2,000 commission checks.

*eyeroll* someone struggling to pay the Bill's? Perhaps listen to others instead of doing the while smug routine.

Yeah ive had these calls too, but for some reason they always hang up on me when i ask "who is this?" "What company am I speaking with?"

You are correct though, these scummy callcenters are destroying public good faith in lifeshield, in the multiplan network, in STM medical policies, and in agents. If I knew who to report I would. Encourage you to do the same.
