Association membership?

none of that has anything to do with whether they are a association plan or not......thats a company policy thing.....

In MD both GR and Assurant offer PPO plans without a copay - Aetna, BX and Coventry do not.

Also, rating is not flexible. Aetna, BX and Coventry have "family rates" regardless of if you have a family of 3 or 8. If you have a family of 3 Aetna and BX are bad deals.

But GR and Assurant only charge per member so smaller families get a better deal.

Also, GR and Assurant can rider conditions - Aetna, BX and Coventry cannot rider therefore reject far more clients.

Well, then it's odd that the two association carriers in MD have flexibility and the rest don't.

I hate family rating where it's based on the oldest member. That kills families where the husband is 58 and the wife is 32 - puts 'em at an unfair rate.

I like it better when the husband is rated for 58 and the wife is rated for 32.
