Direct Mail

I had heard that the government is summoning an end to cold calling. This is perhaps awful, but what about direct mail? If the companies cannot mail individuals who are most likely to purchase their products then it' would be a big handicap, especially in hard times. What do you think??

The government props up the USPS. They wouldn't propose a bill limiting advertising, thus destroying the Postal Service.
(At least, it will never happen ouside of California...who knows what those nutty politicians would do.)
