Doctor's Are in for a Nasty Suprise!

We'll all be selling Medicare products to everyone in the nation when this fails and they make Medicare mandatory for all. But let her rip.

I know I run the risk of being called a socialist here but I think giving everybody medicare part A and payroll deducting the tax would be a much better way to go. They could buy into B and buy a supp if they wanted.

This would also offer better cost control.

With each passing day we are all marching in that very direction. Its the only logical choice, when you factor in human behavior.

If someone wanted to purchase the part B then have a graduated rate from 1 yr of age to go up each year and then leveling out around 55 and gradually going down every year to what it would have been for a 65 year old at the time. Maybe a small premium for part A until a person has reached 55. With government still collecting the medicare taxes like always.

I wonder what the cost would be compared to the cluster F that starts in Oct? It might be lower because you have to take into account all the extra employee's the feds have to hire and the grants to navigators, etc.

I also wonder if anyone in our screwed up govt crunched some numbers on this?

I could live selling Medicare products and hospital indemnity plans, would be less complicated.

Ah yes but you couldn't get away with people thinking it would be free and if it can't be turned into a 2000+ page bill it gives legislatures no excuse not to read it.
