Has anyone transitioned from MGA UW to Carrier UW?

My background: new to the industry, graduated college 2020, working as a UW Trainee at an MGA.

I wanted to learn more about the carrier side, particularly from people who have made the switch to MGA from carrier or vice versa.

Why'd you do it?
How do you like it?
Which do you prefer?
Which side has better work-life balance?
Pay? Etc.

If this were me, Id go on linkedin and search peoples job histories and then reach out to them, privately, as this is a pretty unique question. Food for thought, best of luck.
