Any update (little or big bird) if HS is going to offer it's service during the newly announced special SEP for those who were "unaware of the financial penalties, etc".

Was told by HS support they were going to have SEP applications up next week. They said they will be sending out info to agents soon. They did not say if they were going to keep the $10 app fee or not.

Thanks for this update RussellTW. Hopefully HS will be cleared by HHS to do Special Enrollments through the remainder of the year as well.

I just received an email from Sherpa, stating that they are now live for SEP enrollments. The email also stated that they will be adding support for the tax penalty SEP shortly.

Woot!

Edit: No info regarding cost of apps in the email.

That was my expectation, once you let the genie out of the bottle by lowering the cost it is virtually impossible to bring it back up, particularly when it would be a 150% increase at $25 per app.

For $25, I'll just go to HC.gov given the slow period now.
For $10, it's worth avoiding the headache of HC.gov
