I assume he is in Alabama. I'm not sure what the rules are there, but in general......
Google 'Alabama Department of Insurance'
Once there, find the instructions to get a property and casualty license.
Follow the instructions.
Usually this is:
- Find a school, take some classes, maybe a week if you do them straight through..
- Take a test
- Get fingerprinted
- Pay money, pay some more money, hey you're dealing with the government, so pay some more money yet.
What I have figured out of late is we have more people here from Alabama than any other state. Of course it could be that Alabama is the default state that everyone has when they sign up unless they select the correct state they are in.
I suggest you apply to your state Department of Motor Vehicles----they are the department that usually issues auto and drivers licenses. BTW are you for real?
I think the best way is to see if a local agent wants to hire you and sponsor you. when i started out i was hired by an local agent and then he paid for my school and state exam and i agreed to work for him for at least 1 yr in return.
