Is anyone else concerned about the push for Medicare for All?

Well Mr. Lib It cracks me up when Libs like you spout off about Universal healthcare in countries that are a lot smaller than we are. They have 51 Mil and we have over 300 mil. As if they discovered how to make it very affordable if not free and we dopey Americans just can't figure it out. Of course, nothing is free, but for those pinkos who try to seduce moronic youngsters with the siren call of socialism, it's a great tale. Does South Korea have the obesity problem we do which is the biggest causes of most diseases? Are they as racially as diverse as we are in which every group has different health challenges? Are they using their tax dollars to have their army defend our country? I could go on but you have no clue what you're talking about. That's like saying why doesn't a Yugo go as fast as a Porche their both cars! We are different to compare our country to South Korea is idiotic and being kind.

Agreed. Also, to any Socialism-defenders......America is a VERY unique country that values freedom of everything. Our backbone is freedom. Many of those countries have no clue what true freedom is. They never experienced it. When you hand over something as important as your healthcare to ONE government, you are handing away a HUGE portion of your freedom.

The government has no competition. They are it. Has anyone experienced how Medicaid works? Submit an application, and you'll be lucky to hear back within 4 months. Try to reach someone on the phone. Let me know how that goes. They do not care. They have job security. There is no accountability in government. None. when I submit something to an insurance company, I hear back within a day or two.

Moreover, America is a country that has a HUGE generational welfare problem, where MANY able-bodied Americans are collecting other peoples tax money from the time they're born, to the time they die. Only 47% of Americans pay federal taxes, and we have over 30-40 MILLION illegal aliens in this country. There simply isn't enough money to go around, and many none-American-loving cultures are happy to come over here and sponge off the legal taxpayers.

The countries where universal healthcare is instituted do not have these HUGE/unique issues. They are generally racially/nationally homogenous, all look out for each other, and are much smaller -- which makes the system easier to manage. And even with that, those systems still have many problems, are far from perfect, and they are taxed up to the eyeballs to pay for it. But if you listen to Bernie Sanders, it's all rainbows and unicorns.

The problem today is many people in this country are SPOILED rotten. They simply don't know how good they have it, and they take everything for granted.

I forgive you for bringing up the topic. You just don't know any better. I just think we should treat everyone with dignity and respect.

You know the craziest part is libs will say this in one sentence and do the opposite in the next When talking about Trump, Christians, or just about anyone with another opinion

For Libs its all about tolerance until there is an opposing opinion on any subject

Could this thread have any more silly rehashed tropes? The GOP's scapegoating dems, libs, etc. for years of colossal ***-ups by the "powers that be" is super effective. Has it ever occurred to any of you this is a bipartisan issue? The current system and the laws that established it are dilapidated and abstruse, perhaps on purpose. God forbid politicians try to implement some change. No, if the progressives pass new laws benefitting Welfare Betty down the way, the insidious commies have won! It would take an Act of Congress, people. And who knows? Maybe everyone could get together and work something out. Maybe one day in the distant future. These days everyone is too busy shooting spitballs at each other across the aisle while the wealthy elite laughs all the way to the bank.
