Is SEO a Good Idea for an Insurance Agent Website

It really depends on a few things and what your goals are.

Doing SEO for a few keywords in specific areas as a way of getting some extra leads along with having a website for your agency is a great idea, as long as you're not overpaying. If the goal is to obtain all or even the majority of sales from the website, not so much of a good idea.

If you have a website, why not think about SEO.

YOu dont have to be a SEO Expert and go all out, but there are always small things you can do to help.

You can really target your seo, just for curtain keywords or terms.

SEO is a tough business. But if you like to write, it can be fun. Especially, when you watch your website creep up the SERPS for the key phrases you are working on. First you're position four page three, then position six page two, then position four page two, then position one page two, then position seven page one, then position five page one, then position four page one, then position three page one, then...Sorry. I guess I got a little carried away.

Ideally you want to integrate SEO principles into everything you do on your site.

Sprinkling on a little SEO after the fact doesn't work as well. You've got to put the SEO in the soup while it is being cooked to get the best results.

There are a lot of things to learn as you build your business and your website. It is impossible to do everything right, but try to learn the basic principles and integrate them into your site.
