I only stayed a little over two years.

Again my time at LM was enjoyable but just not what I wanted long term.

What did you end up doing when you left? Did you go work for an independent? I would like to be able to sell commercial and maybe health as well down the road. I'm not sure I'm ready to go Indy for myself just yet (in my mid 20's).

I went independent however I was lucky to get a contract with a good regional carrier that gave me a lot of support to get up in running.

That was my thing as well too, I was passing up a lot of commercial business. Now I tend to focus more on commercial in my agency because I enjoy it more then personal.

I have that one preferred carrier, a few non standard, and go through wholesalers for whatever else does not fit and that has made it easy to get up and running after leaving LM
