Life Insurance for Teenagers - An Open Question for Agents

Agreed I think the Military Death clause is mostly gone.

The big question is disability waiver of premium. Disability due to act of War. A lot more warriors come home broken than dead. A waiver that keeps a policy active when they cannot or won't pay premiums can be huge. Especially if they can not qualify for any new insurance today.

This is a larger issue than many realize. Parents hate to think about their adult children not being healthy or even being sick. But it happens every day. Most of us have spoken to that 25 year old who just started a family and is uninsurable except for a small FE policy.

No doubt their parents did not think that situation would have arisen, but it did. Just think if their parents had bought a small WL with a Guaranteed Purchase Option! Huge lifelong problem solved with very little cost.

And if you dont think there are a lot of them out there, think again. Most of them just tell you "No thanks" when approached about insurance. Only a few actually get into details, because most have been through it and been denied already before.

But I will tell you who absolutely purchases life insurance on their kids and includes the Guaranteed Purchase Option... people who are un-insurable & have a family! They understand the value of it!

An agent I worked for had a family member diagnosed with leukemia at age 7. We wrote EVERY life app after that with guarantee insurability, guaranteed Purchase option

/\/\/\ This.

Young people are not supposed to Die, Young people are not supposed to become uninsurable, Young people are not supposed to become disabled. But they do.

WAR =

""The veterans suicide rate that has remained consistent over the last decade despite numerous large-scale Veterans Affairs programs aimed at finding solutions. According to department records, more veterans died by suicide from 2005 and 2017 (nearly 79,000) than the total number of U.S. troops who died in 30 years of war in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan (about 65,000).""

Will a new push to end veteran suicide have more success than past promises?

Now, add all the other causes of young mortality and morbidity.
