Life insurance mentors

Beginning to work in the field is difficult with most of my leads falling through. I need a mentor. I am willing yo pay for a good mentor. Please help. Any suggestion is appreciated.

I see you are in FL. I am in the panhandle. People here won't answer the phone so you have to door knock. Tough way to make a living.

Many captives or independent agencies have mentorship programs.
I like how Mass splits an app as to first year and renewal splits
So if your mentor wants to put you on a case the renewal is not lost if you leave.
When choosing a mentor make sure he or she or they or them ( that's about as politically correct as I get) is a proven producer.
Also make a plan of how you are splitting your cases.
I have seen an agent take 50% of a case when the client was the new guys parents.
Don't be in a rush.
Ask the potential mentor who he has worked with in the past and talk to them.
Good luck.

Those things are going to happen. What does your process look like? How many appointments are you setting a week?

"Those things are going to happen."
Not if you do your homework.
My model is very different and I do not recommend it.
I kind of fell into it.
My practice (somewhat retired is) 100% premium financed.
When I started the goal was two apps a week.
I sold a lot of term and converted some later on.
My goal was 3 appts a day.
One morning, one afternoon, one nightime.
The night calls kept me in the business.
I did new mortgages prospecting and 75% of the time I walked out with a term app and more important made a client for further business and referrals.
I also ran contests in baby clothing and furniture stores.
$50 gift certificate for the winner. 2nd place = free financial planning session.
Other than the winner everybody won second place.
I am sure compliance would have a field day with this today.
Do you have a natural market?
How do plan on lining up prospects?
What made you choose this business?
Is there a particular part of this business you want to specialize in?
