MA Trial right and PDP enrollment

Working with someone who dropped a sup for an MAPD and wants the sup back. Easy...problem is can the trial right be used after Dec 7th to enroll in a PDP to bump them out of the MAPD for Jan 1?

As long as they haven't had the MAPD 12 months.
