The last yr I don’t think that would work with Humana . Humana and United for that matter run your mbi# before allowing the app the proceed . With United it asks for your United ID # or your Medicare # before even allowing you to start E-App . Since he’s a while away from getting his Medicare card . Do a paper app and put “ pending” for the Medicare info . Maybe the company will keep it pending till you get #

The pending thing will work to a point. The client will get a letter saying "hey, we need to confirm your MBI" and if no valid response is received after so many days then the app is killed.

Several of the carriers I use check MARx before advancing the app . . . some of the e-apps check before the app is submitted.
