Need a Recommendation on a Laptop

Don't buy a mac. Many insurance carriers don't have compatible websites unfortunately.

I recommend a Dell. Their support is impeccable and you build your own on their website. I would suggest getting one that has at least an i3 processor for the speed, but you might not be able to find a 17 inch one for under $600.

I got a HP with I5 processor, 750GB hard drive, 6 gigs of ram, 17" screen for $500 at Best Buy. So far I love it. I can't believe how fast it recovers from sleep mode. Again thank you all for the help.
