New to Insurance, Not to Sales.

D2D, Take it from us. It's rough out there. It takes hard work and money and support and a hundred other things to get started and be successful enough to pay the bills. No one here wants anyone to fail and I don't believe anyone is trying to deter someone from getting into this business. It's more of learn from our mistakes and our successes and go into it with realistic expectations. Be wary of recruiters promising that you'll make a bazillion dollars in your first year. Find a mentor or an IMO that will give you training. Nothing's free and you may have to give up a few points to get that training, but it will pay off down the road. Good money can be made, but it takes time.

PS, Go Hawks!

Update. Started knocking last Thursday. Since then a little under 5k in premium. What REALLY gets me excited is the referrals coming in. Gotta be patient and take a few days off for holidays.... After tomorrow ;)
