I thought this was about Ecclesiastes.
"What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun." 1:9

Im glad we have the internet now, so we can watch the past.
When you really think about that quote it is really sad.. It is saying men cannot learn from the mistakes of the past and will repeat them over and over.I thought this was about Ecclesiastes.

I don't take it to mean that at all. I take it as a warning that history repeats itself, and a fool does not recognize it, and a wise man prepares for it.

When you read the verses leading up to it and afterward, it might give you a better understanding.
1 The words of the Teacher,[a] son of David, king in Jerusalem:
