Okay, I'm starting from scratch and am an open book. Clearly to get started in insurance one needs to obtain licensure. Since I know nothing, give me the 411. I live in Georgia but on border with Tennessee and Alabama too. Ready? Set. Go!!

So you don't have your license yet? Not to sound mean, but what are you doing here? Finish your courses if you haven't already, and get licensed. If you're doing p&c, find an agent to work with. Make sure you have a clear exit strategy if and when it is time to move on and open your own shop. Are you just looking for employment, or do you want to eventually own an agency?

Man are you getting ready to get an education in frustration. Don't take that wrong, it is good...but like straight uphill for a while. Just commit wherever you go and bury your head for a while. Good luck!
