Lol. I'll get in touch with you after the new year. I've still got a year before i hit that 3 year experience mark, but i know I'll need to be planning ahead of time if I end up making a move.

Planning ahead is a wise move. I worked on my first business about a year before I quit my job and started up. I was very successful.

Oh man, do I know it. This definitely wouldn't be my first go-round starting a business, and the circumstances are gonna make the legwork a real bear. Beyond all the normal stuff, I'll be worrying about buying my book or otherwise paying my way out of a non-compete, getting all my customer information into my own database, getting appointed with the same carriers (It's real odd to me that we can be captive, yet pretty much everything we sell is accessible to independents) plus others to make it a seamless transition for customers, etc.
